Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This policy explains how SpiceCado Foods Private Limited ("we", "us"), which operates the SpiceCado brand, handles personal data collected through this website and our store. We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What we collect
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name, delivery address, phone number, email | To pack, ship and track your order, and to reach you about it |
| Order history and preferences | To handle refunds, returns and repeat orders, and to meet tax records requirements |
| Payment confirmation (transaction ID, status, last four digits) | To reconcile payments and process refunds |
| Device and usage data (IP address, browser, pages viewed) | To keep the site secure and to understand which products people look for |
We never see your full card number, UPI PIN or net-banking password. Those go directly to our payment gateway, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We only receive the result of the transaction.
2. How we use it
- To fulfil and deliver your order, and to keep you updated on it.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds or complaints.
- To meet our legal obligations under tax, food safety and company law.
- To send occasional offers and seasonal-harvest updates — only if you opted in, and every such message carries an unsubscribe link.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and technical attacks.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Ever.
- We do not share your contact details with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use your order history to set a different price for you.
4. Who we share it with
Only with parties who need it to complete your order:
- Delivery partners — your name, address and phone number, so the parcel can reach you.
- Payment gateways — to take payment and issue refunds.
- Service providers (hosting, email, analytics) who process data on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: strictly necessary ones that make the site and cart work, and analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but the cart may not remember you between visits.
6. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: eight years, as required under Indian tax and company law.
- Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe, and then only on a suppression list so we do not contact you again.
- Website analytics: aggregated after 14 months and no longer linked to an individual.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to order data is restricted to staff who need it, protected by individual accounts. We keep audit logs of administrative access. No system is perfect, so if a breach ever affects your data we will notify you and CERT-In as required by law.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it for tax or legal reasons;
- stop sending you marketing messages.
Write to support@spicecado.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Children
Our store is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will also be emailed to customers who have an account with us.
11. Contact and grievance officer
For any privacy question or grievance, write to support@spicecado.com with the subject "Privacy", or call +91 96208 28772.
