Shipping & Delivery
How your order gets down the hill and to your door
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Every SpiceCado order is packed in the Nilgiris after you place it and handed to a courier the same working day, wherever the cut-off allows.
1. Dispatch
- Orders placed before 2:00 pm IST on a working day are packed and dispatched that day.
- Orders placed after the cut-off, on a Sunday or on a public holiday are dispatched the next working day.
- Fresh fruit and vegetables ship Monday to Thursday only, so that no perishable parcel sits in a courier hub over a weekend.
2. Delivery timelines
| Destination | Typical time after dispatch |
|---|---|
| Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala | 1 – 2 working days |
| Rest of South and West India | 2 – 4 working days |
| North, East and Central India | 4 – 6 working days |
| North-East, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar | 6 – 9 working days |
These are courier estimates, not guarantees. Monsoon landslides on the Nilgiris ghat roads, regional strikes and festival-season volumes can add a day or two; we will tell you if we know your parcel is affected.
3. Shipping charges
- Charges are calculated by weight and destination, and are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Perishable orders carry an additional cold-pack charge, shown separately.
- Any free-shipping threshold in force is displayed on the store at the time of your order.
4. How we pack
- Spices — ground or whole, filled into food-grade pouches and heat-sealed on the day of dispatch.
- Fruits and vegetables — graded by hand, cushioned, and shipped with cold packs in an insulated liner.
- Chocolates — insulated and cold-packed between March and September so they arrive tempered, not melted.
- Biscuits — boxed rather than bagged, so they arrive whole.
5. Tracking
You receive a tracking link by SMS and email when the parcel leaves us. If tracking has not moved for 48 hours, write to support@spicecado.com with your order number and we will chase the courier ourselves.
6. Receiving your order
- Please check the outer carton before accepting it. If the seal is broken or the box is soaked or crushed, refuse the delivery and tell us the same day.
- Refrigerate fresh produce as soon as it arrives. Cold packs keep produce cool in transit; they are not a substitute for a refrigerator.
- Couriers make up to three attempts. If nobody can receive the parcel it returns to us — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for what happens then.
7. Serviceable areas
We deliver to PIN codes across India served by our courier partners. Fresh produce ships only to PIN codes we can reach within 48 hours of dispatch; the store will tell you at checkout if perishables cannot reach your address. We do not ship internationally at present.
8. Questions
Call +91 96208 28772 or write to support@spicecado.com. We answer delivery questions ourselves — no ticket queue.
